Visit to KY

Sadly, Micah's grand mother, Nana, died on December 16th.  Just 6 weeks after her husband of 70 years, Charlie, died.  We know they are together in a much better place but it was sad and hard for all of Micah's family to lose them both within 6 weeks of each other.  Micah, Caroline and I went to Bowling Green for the funeral services.  Although it was a sad occasion, it allowed many of Micah's family to meet Caroline for the first time.  Including Micah's brother, Caroline's uncle John! 

The trip was Caroline's first big road trip and she did amazing.  We left Sunday morning early and came home Tuesday morning.  Quick trip but we are headed back up there tomorrow, Christmas's Eve and will be BACK in Birmingham Sunday.  Two very quick trips, but well worth the effort.

Speaking of effort, it is AMAZING all the STUFF one has to travel with once you have a baby!!!!!  Micah's Explorer was loaded down.  Luckily since we were headed back in such a short time, we were able to leave a few things in BG, such as the pack and play!  Considering the reason for our trip, I didn't really end up taking a lot of pictures.  We will be sure to get more KY family pics when we go back for Christmas.  Here are just 3 from the weekend.
